I’ve always been a bit shy since I was a little girl and in my adult years I often find I enjoy my own space and alone time. Over the years I’ve realized that there are times where I feel anxious, stressed, nervous and not secure in social or professional settings and it may be why I enjoy being alone. It always seems a bit easier alone.

Having good coping mechanisms for these issues is something I work on daily and do my best to live the best life I can even with things that may hold me back.

Dealing with stress, anxiety and having darker periods in life make me realize I need good coping skills so I do not become more of a recluse. I also now deal with a chronic illness which can make me “hide away” when not feeling my best.
